Why I am not taking birth control any longer; Children are a blessing!
Okay, so in today's society it is normal to take birth control, even normal for christian women to do so, as I was on it just until last week. I was on it simply because my husband and I did not want to have anymore children at this time, if ever. My husband mostly, He was worried about the quality of life for our family, if we could 'afford' it basically. But does God not say that money is the root of all evil, and that we should rely on HIM to provide our needs? So we should trust him in all things right? And what more to trust him in than our family and our children?
I have had 'baby fever' for quite some time. As Nicole on the 'Children are a blessing' blog mentions in one of her post, 'baby fever' is something that God puts in our hearts. Every good thing is from God. The WORLD however sees baby fever as just something that we can 'cure' with holding an infant, babysitting, or spending time with one then sending it back to its parents, however this I have found is not biblical. I have discovered that 'baby fever' is something that GOD has given me, and blessed me with.
Lets talk a bit about birth control, and what the WORLD does not want you to know about it. I was taking it for the reasons of wanting to control the 'spacing' of my children, to not take on more than I can handle. but does the bible not say that God will never give us more than we can handle? And that every good thing comes from the Lord? I did not know about birth control and the origins of it, until today, and after reading this I am so happy that I went off of it. Here is what I learned from Nicoles blog and I will list the site she found this on as well:
"The Birth Control MovementThe birth control movement as we know it today was championed by Margaret Sanger, the founder of Planned Parenthood, and the creator of the birth control pill. Ms. Sanger believed in eugenics and promoted outright sexual promiscuity.
The following are quotes by Margaret Sanger:
'The most merciful thing that the large family does to one of its infant members is to kill it.' (SERIOUSLY????!!!!)
'Birth control must lead ultimately to a cleaner race.'
'We should hire three or four colored ministers, preferably with social-service backgrounds, and with engaging personalities. The most successful educational approach to the Negro is through a religious appeal. We don’t want the word to go out that we want to exterminate the Negro population, and the minister is the man who can straighten out that idea if it ever occurs to any of their more rebellious members.'
'A woman’s duty: To look the whole world in the face with a go-to-hell look in the eyes… to speak and act in defiance of convention.'
'Women of the working class, especially wage workers, should not have more than two children at most. The average working man can support no more and the average working woman can take care of no more in decent fashion''

www.thebirthcontrolmovie.com is an amazing resource that describes the origins of birth control.WOW what an eyeopener! You can find the full blog post here: Children are a Blessing: Birth Control
Birth control pills are considered a Group 1 carcinogen by the World Health Organization, and is in the same category as cigarettes."
" The words “contraception, sterilization, and abortion” are always used together. They are a threesome in feminist and humanist literature. They use these three weapons for the same purpose-to eliminate children! As Christians, we have tried to separate contraception and sterilization from the issue of abortion. But they all have the same purpose. In fact, abortion is a back-up plan to eliminate life if contraception and sterilization are not successful."
~ Be Fruitful and Multiply p. 153 by Nancy Campbell
After reading this stuff, I am so happy to have the knowledge that I made the right decision to go off of this birth control. I did not know that the pill actually makes the uterus thinner, stopping ovulation in some of them, and in others it literally has the new 'baby' that God WOULD form, basically shrivel up and die, not allowing it to enter the safety of the uterus that God created for the baby to form in.
So will my family add on more children? If it is Gods will; yes. And I hope it is! I have always wanted a large family, but I did not realize that limiting it by my own hand I was in some ways killing a baby that God might want to have brought into this world.
Now I do have to say that I feel it is certainly a very personal decision. But for me, especially after reading this and knowing the scriptures on what God says about children, it is an eye opener for me and I refuse to put these chemicals in my body, and will trust in the Lord for how many children he plans to bless us with. I am 30 now however, so hopefully not a whole mess haha. But on a serious note, I just urge you to think about the comments listed above from the creator of the birth control pill, her intentions for birth control, and the way it affects your body and unborn baby that God would be blessing you with.
"God’s design is perfect. He is the creator of the universe. He creates each human being. When we use artificial birth control means, we are attempting to limit the power of the Creator. Should we desire to control the Creator’s hand?~paraphrased from Lisa who blogs at http://www.a2ndgenerationofhomeschooling.com/
